Automation Architect
What You’ll Do
As an AI Automation Architect, you’ll work directly with clients to design, build, and implement automation workflows that actually move the needle for their business.
This isn’t a typical agency role where you’re handed a brief and execute. You’ll own the entire client relationship from discovery to delivery and beyond. Think of yourself as part consultant, part technical architect, and part account manager.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Client Partnership
- Lead discovery sessions to understand business pain points and automation opportunities
- Translate technical concepts into business language (and vice versa)
- Present workflow designs and recommendations to stakeholders
- Manage project timelines and client expectations like a pro
Technical Architecture
- Design end-to-end automation workflows using tools like n8n, Zapier, Make, and other low-code/no-code platforms
- Integrate AI models and APIs into business processes
- Connect disparate systems and data sources seamlessly
- Build scalable solutions that won’t break when clients grow
Problem Solving
- Debug complex multi-system integrations
- Optimize workflows for performance and reliability
- Think programmatically about business processes
- Find creative solutions when the obvious path doesn’t exist
What We’re Looking For
Technical Skills
- Hands-on experience with automation platforms (n8n, Zapier, Make, Power Automate, etc.)
- Solid understanding of APIs, webhooks, and system integrations
- Experience with AI/ML tools and platforms
- Comfortable with databases and data manipulation
- Some coding background (any language) - you think like a developer even when using no-code tools
Client-Facing Excellence
- Exceptional communication skills - you can explain complex technical concepts to anyone
- Strong project management instincts
- Natural curiosity about how businesses operate
- Patience and empathy when clients don’t understand the technical details
- Ability to push back respectfully when clients want something that won’t work
Mindset & Approach
- Autonomous and self-directed - you don’t need hand-holding
- Detail-oriented but can see the big picture
- Comfortable with ambiguity and changing requirements
- Genuinely excited about helping businesses become more efficient
Bonus Points
- Experience running client relationships at an agency or consultancy
- Background in business process optimization
- Familiarity with industry-specific tools (CRM, ERP, marketing automation, etc.)
- Experience with TypeScript, Python, or other programming languages
- Previous work with AI/ML model deployment
What We Offer
- Competitive salary + performance bonuses
- Flexible remote work environment
- Room to grow with a fast-moving company
